About the University

Jaypee University of Engineering & Technology (JUET), Guna, was established as a private university by the Government of Madhya Pradesh and Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (a not-for-profit trust) with the shared vision of creating a Center of Excellence through Gazette Extraordinary No. 3 of 2010, dated April 29, 2010, under the MP Niji Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 2007. JUET, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, is known for its academic excellence and received an "A+" grade in NAAC accreditation in 2023.

Campus and Courses

Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology (JUET) is situated in Raghogarh, Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway. With an area of 122.5 acres, the green campus offers a peaceful and intellectually enriching ambiance, which is apt for learning. JUET is a new-age institution committed to higher education in engineering, technology, management, and sciences.

The university has a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. In engineering, the B.Tech. courses are Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning), CSE (Data Science), Electronics & Communication, Electronics (VLSI Design & Technology), Mechanical, and Mechanical & Mechatronics Engineering (Additive Manufacturing). The M.Tech. programs provide specializations in different areas, including Chemical Engineering (Energy and Environmental Engineering), Civil Engineering (Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineering), Computer Science & Engineering (AI & DS, AI & ML), Electronics & Communication Engineering (Microelectronics & VLSI Design, Internet of Things), and Mechanical Engineering (Machine Design, Thermal Engineering, Manufacturing Technology).

Apart from engineering, JUET offers courses in management and sciences. Students interested in studying business can pursue the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). The university also offers M.Sc. in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. JUET also fosters research and innovation through its Ph.D. courses, which are offered in several disciplines such as Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication, and Mechanical Engineering, and Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Humanities & Social Sciences.

Note: Registration on the SII portal

It is mandatory to register on the SII portal for all foreign students coming to India for higher studies and quote the unique ID in their visa application.

Ministry of Home affairs has introduced e-Student visa facility to foreign students who are eligible for S-1 and S-3 student visa and also registered on SII portal. MHA has also introduced e-student X visa facility to the dependents of those coming under aforesaid e-Student visas.

Indian Student Visas are granted to individuals who wish to come to India and study at a recognized educational institution. They may apply for the same after receiving an offer letter from any of the Study in India partner institutes. Indian Missions/Embassies under the Government of India will grant the Indian Student Visa to foreign nationals who wish to pursue the following:

  • Regular, full-time, structured courses at educational institutes duly recognised by the statutory regulatory body in India.
  • Short-term courses and student exchange programs

Eligibility

Indian Missions/Embassies grant a student visa for a period of five years or for the duration of the course of study, whichever is less, to the below:

  • To foreigner students coming to India to pursue regular and full-time academic studies in India.
  • For foreigner students coming for industrial training, summer projects, and internships.
  • Provisional student visa valid for six months for the students exploring admission or taking admission tests.
  • Applicants should possess proof of admission to a full-time regular academic course in a reputed/recognized educational institution in India and evidence of financial support.
  • The applicant should also possess a "No Objection Certificate" from the Ministry of Health in case of admission in a medical or Paramedical course.
  • Spouse and dependent family members accompanying the applicant must apply for an Entry Visa (Not Tourist Visa). The termination date of the Entry Visa will coincide with the period of the principal visa holder.

Validity and Entry Points

Student visas are issued for up to five years, depending on the duration of the course. They can also be extended in India. Further, the passengers having valid Student visas can enter India from any desired port of immigration check post (Airport, Seaport).

Student Visa Fee

The fees for a student visa are different for all the countries. Generally, the amount ranges from $14 to $118 but the students are advised to check the fees by contacting the Indian mission/embassy in their home country.

Location

Guna, the gateway of Malwa & Chambal is located on the northern - eastern part of Malwa Plateau between Parbati and the Betwa rivres. Mathematically the District is situated between the radiameters 23'53" N and 25'6'55 N and langumate 76.48' 30"E and 78', 16'70"E. The Parbati is the main river flowing along the western boundary touching Rajgarh District of M.P. and Jhalawarh and Kota District of Rajasthan. Shivpuri & Kota are located in north where as Vidisha, Bhopal, and Rajgarh lies to the South. The total area of District is 6484.63 sq. km. with a population of about 8.5 lacs. Guna District is divided into five tehsils, Raghogarh is one of the Tehsil where the institute is located.

It is well connected with the Road and situated on the National Highway No. 3 Agra-Bombay National Highway (A-B Road) From Raghogarh, Gwalior is 250 km to the north of it, Bhopal 190 km to the south and Indore 250 km's to the south. The important places of this District are Palai, Guna, Ruthiyai, Aron & Binaganj. The state Highways is all weather roads in the district, which connect important towns.

Nearest Railway Station

The nearest railway station is Ruthiyai Junction and Guna Junction. Ruthiyai junction is located at 12 KMs from the university and Guna Junction which is located at 32 KMs from the university.

The nearest airport is Bhopal and Indore.
