A week long FDP on Application Oriented Networking has been organized in coordination with IUCEE (Indo US Collaboration for Engineering Education). Prof. Laxmi Narayan Bhuyan, Distinguished Professor and Chair, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Winston Chung Hall University of California, Riverside

This FDP was hosted by Department of Computer Science and Engineering during July 9-13 , 2012. Following topics have been covered in this FDP:

Introduction to Application Oriented Networking, A brief History of the Internet, Review of Internet Protocols Transport Layer , I/O Acceleration in Server Architectures, A New TCB Cache to Efficiently Manage TCP Sessions for Web Servers, Transport Layer Systems Packet Classification, Interconnects and Switching Fabrics, Quality of Service and Link Scheduling, Routers: Data plane and control plane, Application Oriented Networking, Network Processors: A Solution to the Next Generation Networking Problems , Performance Evaluation and Low Power Design of Network Processors, Program Mapping by Series-Parallel Partitioning, Scheduling Network Applications on Multiprocessors, Scheduling Applications on Multi-Core Servers, Implementations and Results, Latency, Throughput, and Power-Aware Packet Processing System, Network Power Optimization on Multicore Servers
E-AHRW: An Energy-efficient Scheduler for Stream Processing, Network Computing on Virtualized Multi-Core Server.
