A Brief Report of the Workshop

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering, JUET, Guna organized a three-day National Workshop on Advancements in Network Communication and Security (ANCS-2015) during December 7-9, 2015. This workshop was organized with an objective to disseminate the recent advancements in Network Communication and Security in teaching & student community.
This workshop was arranged in 12 technical sessions spread over three days with a nice blend of lectures, Demonstrations and Hands on practices. In this workshop seven resource persons, namely :

have deliberated on various topics as mentioned below:

Network communication and security
Traffic engineering
Modifying CMU trace and Adding protocol in NS-2
Security issues in Cloud Computing
Perimeter Security
Web page and Session Security using Rails frame work
Workload Characterization of a Web Server
Introduction to Queuing Theory
Intellectual Property Rights with Special reference to Patent Filing
Grid Computing and Simulation with GridSim

Familiarity in usages of Network Simulation tools has also been discussed in this workshop. This workshop was financially supported by MPCST, Technically supported by CSI. The workshop was over with positive note to have it once again in future.
