A Brief Report of the Workshop

Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with VR/AR/MR student club organized a two-week workshop on “AR-VR-MR” for faculty member and students during 14-26 November 2022. The participants learned Virtual reality together with the vast opportunities that augmented reality provides through the accessibility of a Smartphone. The sessions conducted on introduction, careers, and applications of these technologies together with hands-on project building exercise on Unity Engine. Participant learned to create an Augmentation of a Barbarian 3D model on a marked target and experienced projects in blender and Unity through VR devices like Oculus Quest 2 and HTC Vibe ( HMDs ).

The workshop was attended by 21 faculty members and 292 students with full enthusiasm. Outcome of the workshop was well appreciated by the participants and workshop was completed with a positive note that such events should be organized frequently.
